So. The Cinema Bizarre concert. The band was great, but the fans were pure evil. Probably one of my worst concert experiences ever.

In contrast.

My friend took me to see a Keane concert last night. I wasn't exactly a super fan of them; I knew key songs and that there were three members. I wasn't sure I'd really enjoy myself as much as her since she idolizes them. But get this:

They've been in music longer than TH or CB and they actually came out to hang out with their fans pre-show. Take photos, have conversations; and the fans? They weren't screaming or raping people. They were calm and respectful to the band and each other. Everyone got a turn.

Even during the concert.

Not the usual "get molested by everyone and their mother" conditions, no being squished until you pass out, and no moshing. Just a band sharing the sound of their souls with people who understand them; young and old. I was smiling and swaying to the music between my friend and an old guy I didn't know lol. And I couldn't have been happier.

Afterwords, they came out and talked with the fans again. It didn't seem to matter how long a conversation with a fan took, they'd take the time. Sign stuff. Take photos with people. I was worried I'd get forgotten (being short and behind tall/fat people) so I kept waving my hand above their heads "excuse me??" hoping to get a "hello" or something, but after they finished the current conversation, they turned right to me and apologized. "I didn't mean to ignore you, sorry." "Short people are forgotten. TnT Will you shake my hand?" "Of course! Short people aren't forgotten...Jesse's short and we don't forget him!" They genuinely sounded remorseful for ignoring even one fan. D= Even stayed to make up for it by signing my friend's DS and taking photos with her.

It was probably one of the best concerts of my life. <3 Keane's a band that truly gets it.
